The success that you’re going to have with this script depends on you knowing what scale do you start with.
This tool is mainly for creators to reverse their previously chosen, deliberately used scale to 1:1 as quickly and easily as possible.
How to find what scale to use if unsure?
Grab the free ZEN METAL Systematic package from the Marketplace. Rezz a suitable sample object next to yours (like a sofa). Second Life scaled objects will potentially look GIGANTIC next to the Systematic realistically sized sample objects, and that’s how far from the reality we are.
Use the MBAGR Object Resizer script to find your usual scale. Touch the object again once you’re happy with the end result and see in the menu there’s the “current scale” factor mentioned. Copy this and enter it as the variable into the MBAGR for ZEN METAL Systematic -script I shared with you.
How big can the scale differences be?!
OK. Second Lifers like to build big for some reason. I’ve seen buildings that are realistically twice the size than what would be considered realistic if the meter was treated as something other than a rubber band. ;p
In real terms, think of your house and scale it TWICE to the size it is now in every direction. That is not at all unusual on Second Life. Also, note that furniture rarely fits the same scale as the house, and parts of the houses as they are are not necessarily built in the same scale.
A modest size-hike is a round 1.20, and sometimes people create treating the meter as if it was a yard, resulting to a scaling factor of 1.9144 or 0.9144 when reversed back to what it should be.
