Are you attractive in Real Life? You seem to be literally everyone’s at least a 9.5, but they all want to make a few final tweaks before they think you’re perfect. “If only she’d want children, marriage, white picket fence” or “If only he’d want marriage…” For the right one, you know you are perfect the way you are; no tweaks are needed… If you need a little reassurance of that, that is what my coaching is all about. The rules are pretty simple: Allow people to hunt unicorns and keep their standards high, and don’t assume you are what they’re looking for. (Most attractive people know this without being told; we’re all looking for that final .5 without wanting to change people to our own liking, as that is simply cruel. It’s best to move on.) ZEN METAL Unicorn Hunters DO NOT THINK “commitment is the key” when you’re looking for true love rather than a commitment to a relationship rather than a person. We are not looking for perfect people whose expectations exceed single-minded white-knuckle commitment. (This is just an attachment disorder hiding in commitment seeking: “Commit to me now so we never have to face each other for real and risk rejection or abandonment.”) We are looking for people who are perfect for us. That takes more than just a die-hard willingness to commit to whoever happens to be there… Or someone better than oneself, as committing to someone you know is better than yourself (and not in love with you) is not courage or maturity; it’s pure selfishness.
On ZEN METAL sims will protect each other from boyfriend and girlfriend poachers and commit to the (sexy romantic) life we want rather than the life we currently have or feel stuck with. We also don’t need to pretend we’re happy with the First Life we’ve got. We will no longer be guilt-tripped, shamed, or diagnosed into accepting less than what we truly dream about, even if it means a lonely life looking and holding onto hope that one day… One day…
