Second Life – Standard Texture Sizes

You might have noticed that on Second Life, no two promotional or profile images are the same size. It would be nice if the same texture (size) could be used in many situations but no. So I’ve put together a pack of standard image sizes.

Also, on my Marketplace, you can find a bunch of social media graphic-sized prim boards if you’re designing with Canva or something similar, so you can use the proportions of the original image. (You can resize the boards by dragging the corner, and the ratio stays the same. Just don’t drag the sides or the ratio will be lost.) At least the current profile image uses a square 1×1 photo, with pixel dimensions 150×150 or 200×200 at most… Want a sample? Sure.

This is quite big enough for the profile photo. Using jpg instead of png makes it load a little faster. You could make it as small as 150×150 to make the loading times as small as the image.
Old profile photo dimensions that I think still scale OK if used instead the 1×1 version
