Accessing Second Life

First, please make a decision: There are two viewers for Second Life. One is the official Linden Labs-created viewer. There is nothing wrong with it, but there are a ton of advanced features with Firestorm Viewer, which was developed by a third party. The Firestorm viewer is what Chrome is to Microsoft Edge. Most people prefer Firestorm, especially if they want to play BDSM-related scenarios that the official viewer does not support.

If you prefer Firestorm, please download it here and install it like any other computer program.

If you prefer Second Life Viewer, you can follow the prompts from here on in. If you have Firestorm already installed, click this link, and choose “join Second Life” or “visit this location” if you already did, or simply log into the viewer.

You should now stand at the ZEN METAL Hub Newbie entry point. If not, click that link and “visit this location.”

Preferences for adult content on Firestorm.

You might want to check your preferences CTRL+P or “Avatar -> Preferences.”

Under the General -tab, choose general, moderate, and adult for which type of content you want to view.

Then, in Firestorm-tab, enable the first tick – “Allow Remote Scripted Viewer Controls” (RLVa). This enables you to take control of another avatar’s actions, or allow another avatar to take control of yours. Don’t worry, there’s about a thousand additional security settings for “the victim” to enable, but let’s just start here.
