Creating a realistic avatar for ZEN METAL

ZEN METAL is built on a strictish 1:1 scale. (Some objects are slightly bigger than real life for usability’s sake. Most doors are not. ;)) Therefore, if you size yourself exactly as you are in real life, you should fit in nicely to any ZEN METAL Scene.

Creating a new shape for yourself is super easy. Entry-level creativity. It’s so easy, I don’t know how shape creators manage to run a business on Second Life, I really don’t. No offence, I mean you people are genius salesmen. ;p Now. Let’s get to it:

EASY first step: shape

YouTube Tutorial: How to shape up for ZEN METAL? (The video starts with newbie-level explanation as to what does what, so if you feel like you need to start from the top, please do, but the link points to where it gets to the meat and bones.)

Difficulty level: First Day Newbie.

The gist:

After adjusting your height, you want to change your body thickness to match the now shorter height. You will want to change the size of your head to match your height, and also check that your hands and feet are well adjusted. You may also need to adjust your torso/legs ratio, as many of the tall avatars exaggerate leg length by a lot (I call them spider legs). Other than that, your old settings probably work OK.
