Every Second Life creator is limited to what is called “a prim count” or “land impact” -limit. This counts individual objects rezzed (placed) onto a defined area of land. (If you are curious, you can find the current object count in any piece of land under the Land button, and Objects -tab.)
To save “prims,” I use rezzers as much as I can. This means that the rezzer will wait for an avatar to approach, and it’ll start set the scene for you automatically. Sometimes, however, I have opted out to wait for the user to touch the rezzer button, as to not rezz a scene every time someone walks by with no intention to come in.
Sometimes, I add a “clean scene” button in the scene. This is particularly helpful with items that one doesn’t want laying around when an outsider comes in. For the secret stuff. Still, my rezzers clean the scene automatically after a while anyway.
