Second Life uses teleporters and landmarks for most coming and going. There are a ton of different types of teleporters, and many sims use fun ways to teleport people from one place to another, as a part of the experience itself.
My most used teleporter is this particular one, although it doesn’t always look the same. Sometimes, it’s just a carpet on the floor, that will open up a menu for you to go to places.
In addition, there are some completely hidden teleporters on my sim, that will grab and move you to a new location if you walk into them, if you allowed the “experiences” when entering the sim. These teleporters are not traps, but open up when you walk through a door sometimes.
