When you first join, you might want to make just a quick adjustment to the way you look.
The quickest way to do this is to click the button that looks like a toilet-sign. It gives you a selection of starter avatars. Some of these avatars can be upgraded to mesh avatars rather easily. You could also find a full (classic/system) avatar you like on the marketplace for a quick starting point and just follow the same method as on this video:
