I may bang on about this a little too much, but I do build in 1:1 scale. Everything you see on Zen Metal land is carefully scaled to 1 RL meter to equal 1 SL meter.
Many other builders use… well, no scale at all, or perhaps they equate 1 meter to one yard, which gets them close to the real scale but not quite. (They’re about 10% off.) Many build even twice the size that Second Life in-built scale would assume, this is a fantasy world, after all.
These guys here are placed to help you get an idea of what a normal human avatar would be sized as if RL meter = SL meter as one would assume, in addition to providing a little still life for the place.
